Shoulder Stand, Salamba Sarvangasana, known as the queen of asanas, is cooling, soothing to the nervous system, and helps to balance the functioning of the endocrine system. It also reduces fluid retention in the legs and regulates and normalizes elimination. If you are not doing right with support underneath your shoulders your neck may be at risk. Do not stand on your neck, stand on your shoulders. So please practice with conscious awareness and listen to your body. There are other ways to practice this great pose, by taking your legs to the wall and lifting the pelvic from there.
