The September New Moon In Virgo
“Fear is the ultimate trendsetter, influencer, and peer pressure pusher.” — @ARIKXANDER
Hi Stargazers! 🌃🤩
When the Moon is new, it is in a state of emptiness, without any light, ready for us to plant the seed of our intention into it. At its essence, the New Moon is like a blank canvas, and the sign it is in is like an art supply store supplying us with all the light we need to paint our reality.
In fact, every New Moon contains concealed light for us to reveal so that we may invite and receive blessings into our lives. So what does the New Moon in Virgo offer us this year? What could we possibly wish to paint into our reality?
How about a world without autophobia and agoraphobia?
As this New Moon in Virgo is the final New Moon before the Autumn Equinox, the more fear we can transform, the more fearless the next 182 days will be. People across the world have become even more paranoid and afraid in the presence of another throughout 2020. This New Moon in Virgo is giving us the tools we need to reverse these fears.
But what is fear and how can we transcend it? Well, first we need to understand that fear can cause us to do all kinds of silly things. Fear can influence what we eat or don’t eat, who we follow or associate with, or even what we do on a daily basis. Fear is the ultimate trendsetter, influencer, or peer pressure pusher and yet, oftentimes when we look back on things we used to be afraid of, we see it as less threatening compared to who we are today.
Most fears boil down to the fear of death and thereby the fear of loss. Some people also fear suffering, but it’s usually resolved once they realize that suffering is the cosmically enforced purification of fate left ignored and remember that when we are proactive with our purification, we prevent suffering.
So now that we know that even if we would have all the money and resources in the world, we’d still have fear, we better look at the next layer to understand what that means Well, this basically means that we are still fearful because we are too invested in the material realm and our fear tells us that this can never serve as a substitute for a spiritual connection.
The material changes, gets old and decays, eventually disappearing entirely. The material realm isn’t eternal, it’s meant to change and with change comes fear. When we put too much emphasis on “owning”, “having”, “achieving”, “keeping” and the like, we set ourselves up for fear. In other words, the more we limit our freedom the more fearful we become.
When we put the material ahead of our spiritual connection, we basically set ourselves up for fear. We might get away with this for many years, but it will always catch up to us at some point. So this New Moon in Virgo wants us to make our true connections now before it becomes complicated.
During this New Moon in Virgo, we are granted the energy to overcome our fears so that we can create a fearless reality.
It goes without saying that fear is embedded in our survival systems as well as the anatomy and physiology of the brain. Fear is something I work with in almost every healing session I conduct. This New Moon asks us to look at the inherited fears we have taken on from our parents and ancestors who have also put too much emphasis on the material realm. Ancestry, like genetics, is also fate that can be transcended, but not without help from a spiritual guide or teacher.
Fear uses a lot of our energy and it requires even more to transform it! So it makes only sense that we need something or someone to help us with this daunting task. Until we confront our fears and walk through them, they will fuel our actions, including all the things we don’t do!
What’s the end result? Diversion.
There are so many “reasons” we do or don’t do things because of fear. Depending on the ego operating in these moments, it may try to spin it as some good reason, but the fact is that when we are fearfully avoiding or doing something, we are diverting from our destiny. That’s not to say we cannot do amazing things – as defined by our exaggerated investment in the material realm – it’s just that we might not do what we are supposed to do as delineated in an astrological chart.
Yet, this New Moon is reminding us of the power of legacy and what we leave behind after we die.
Meaning, that when we pass on from this physical realm, we will be confronted by the Universe whether we did what we came here to do, or not. Again, even if we donated a lot of charity, worked on our ego, meditated, journaled, forgave our enemies, or even invested millions of dollars in bettering the world, it doesn’t mean anything if we didn’t achieve our destiny. Good deeds do great things for the collective, but there is no substitute for fulfilling your unique destiny.
The underlying pattern behind running away from our destiny, and what the New Moon in Virgo also brings up, is entitlement. Having expectations, assumptions, presumptions, calculations, or the right and prerogative to claim something – that really isn’t ours. I know this is a difficult concept to understand, but the question for this New Moon will open up synapses in the brain to better grasp the pattern here. I will also expand upon this in my New Moon Virtual Ritual.
The Question Of This Quest.
24 hours before and 24 hours after the New Moon is a cosmic window where subconscious content rises to the surface and asks us to deal with whatever we have suppressed so that it will not contaminate our efforts.
In DASH® Astrology, the New Moon is a time to receive energy for our quest! To access the quantum quest of Virgo, we should open ourselves to the following question:
“Is my being helpful truly an expression of my altruistic mind or rather satisfying a self-image? How do I know the difference?” — THE NEW MOON IN VIRGO
I will lead a meditation upon this in my New Moon Virtual Ritual.
Contemplate this question during the 48-hour New Moon window, and be open to any insights that come into your consciousness. When we can tell the difference between the altruistic mind and a self-image we will be able to do actions from a place of choice rather than from an obligation to a chain.
It’s more trouble than it’s worth to be a “good” person because we subconsciously have entitlement about it. The paradox is that a good person has no concept of good or bad.
This concept of resentful service comes at a price, and when we do things with the expectation that we will get something in return, we basically shackle ourselves to another spin with the same people. As a result, most of us are afraid to break free from the chains of, say our family for example, and it weighs on us for the rest of our life. But this New Moon in Virgo will help us cultivate the courage we need to break free from the genetic cycles and fearful realities.
We are essentially standing before the days of judgment, with both the Sun and Moon in Virgo looking at every detail of our lives before we are submitted for judgment. We need to make as many changes as possible, right now.
It is with this New Moon that we can transform ourselves into beings of fearless love so that we can sanctify the next six months ahead all while expecting nothing in return.
The Moon, which represents our vessel, will be empty and ready to receive everything it needs for its 29-day journey around the zodiacal city.
As it transits through each constellation neighborhood, it collects and gathers various gifts and lessons. Yet before it departs for its journey, there is a 48-hour window of preparation where it downloads everything necessary to make its journey a successful one. This is why I offer a guided New Moon meditation when we assure that we can receive everything we can to ensure a successful journey.
