5 Ways To Raise Your Vibration During This Pandemic

These past few weeks have been hard for many. There’s this fear that’s lingering among communities around what is coming next and when we will get to get back to our “normal lives”.

The thing is, do we really want to return to what we considered “normal” just a short time ago? Do we really want to be spending so much time doing things that perhaps don’t bring us joy? Do we want to go back to the rat race? Do we really want to continue on the same path? This time is an opportunity for us to slow down and focus on what truly matters. We’ve been lost for a long while now, trying to find our way back and now we’re given the opportunity to do just that!

I’ve been on this journey of mine for some time now and I truly feel that the last 6 to 8 years have been a preparation for this present moment we’re in. I’m one of the grateful and lucky ones. Our lives haven’t changed all that much. I’m not much of an extrovert, so my weekly trip to the grocery store has been and remains my “outing”. We’ve been homeschooling for 6 years now and so nothing changes on that front either. Our businesses have changed and slowed down a bit, but I have to say that we are welcoming the slower pace. The kiddos are loving having dad home early to do the things that dads do best.

We could, like many, go down the rabbit hole of anxiety and allow the state of the world to weigh us down, and had this happened 8 years ago, that’s probably what we’d be doing. Luckily, a lot has changed since then. Our feelings, our thoughts, our words, our actions, they all drive our vibration; either up or down. Many of you reading this, know this, but perhaps you’ve let fear settle in and stay for an extra cup of tea. Perhaps the unknown is hard for you to handle right now. I understand. I too have let fear creep in a time or two, but I didn’t allow it to stick around!

I thought I’d share the things that I’ve been doing for years now, but that I find myself doing even more of, since the beginning of this “situation”.

1) Focus on the good

When you begin to focus on all the things that are going right in the world, you’ll find that you have much less time to focus on the seemingly gruesome reality being portrayed on the news. Focus on how the earth is healing, rivers are cleaner than ever. Focus on the families getting to spend quality time together. Focus on how much time you have to enjoy the great outdoors. Choose to do things that bring you joy and focus on doing more of that.

2) Go back to basics

This is a great opportunity to go back to basics. Cook healthy and nutritious meals for your family. If you don’t know-how, this is a great time to learn. Fueling our bodies with nutrient-dense foods helps boost our immune system and helps us stay healthy. I’d say this is the time to be focusing on just that.

Make it fun, cook with some good music on, with your kiddos. Turn a chore that you maybe don’t like so much and turn it up a notch, or two!

3) Move your body

Whatever that may look like for you, find a way to move in ways that bring you joy and make you feel good. Whether it be at-home workouts, nature walks, hikes, yoga, running, cycling, rollerblading, dancing in the kitchen, playing catch with your kiddos – find something that feels good and do that.



It’s so crucial to be moving the stagnant energy within us. Sitting on the couch watching the news and feeding into the frenzy hours on end will not, I repeat, WILL NOT help in keeping your vibrations high, I’ll promise you that. Moving allows your body to release stress, boosts your immune system, makes you feel happy by releasing endorphins in your bloodstream, improves sleep, improves memory, raises your energy levels. These are just a few of the many benefits of getting your body moving. Why would you not take this time to create a routine for yourself? Because let’s face it, your old excuse of “I don’t have enough time” is kind of out the window.

4) Meditate

Before you skip this one, hear me out. Meditation doesn’t have to look a certain way. There is no “right” way to meditate. Whatever works for you is the right way. Whether it be a minute or thirty, find time to sit with yourself. This can be uncomfortable because we are so used to doing all the time. Our mind starts racing and we try fighting it and eventually give up on this whole meditation thing because it’s too hard. Don’t give up!

Meditation is so incredibly beneficial, and you’ll be glad you took the time to add this to your daily routines. Meditating for you might be a quiet walk in nature, sitting quietly and comfortably or laying down. It may happen when you’re soaking in a salt bath with candles and nature sounds. Whatever works for you, do that. Don’t worry about how long, just sit, and focus on your breath. Allow it all to unfold as it should.

Meditation has been proven to help alleviate anxiety, reduce stress, boost the immune system, increase blood flow, and increase your energy among other things.

5) Laugh

Laugh a lot! We take ourselves so incredibly seriously and sometimes we have to, but please take time each and every day to just laugh and have fun. Be silly, let your inner child out to play. She knows how it’s done. I don’t have to tell you that laughter and joy bring our vibration up. So do lots and lots of that!

These times are uncertain and none of it is truly in our control. I’ll tell you what though. The way we choose to live during these times is completely within our control unless you decide to give that away! Your well being and that of your family should be at the top of your priority list right now. You have more time than ever (unless you are an essential worker, and if you are, I thank you!).

If you don’t take this opportunity you’ve been presented with to create a life you are deeply in love with, then don’t expect it to be handed over on a silver platter.

We’ve been given an opportunity to focus on what really matters, to do things differently. We’ve been given an opportunity to create more joy in our lives, even if you don’t see it right now. Change the way you are choosing to perceive what is happening in the world. Choose where you are putting your attention and choose how you will move forward from here on out. You ARE in control! Raise your vibration, align with your highest truth, and show the world how it’s done!!
