It’s Okay To Be Exactly Where You Are
It’s okay to be exactly where you are. Sometimes I feel completely grounded in self-love, and other times, I feel like I’m floating. I’ve learned that it’s vital to accept this. The least helpful thing we can do is meet ourselves with disappointment and resistance. The least helpful thing we can do is ignore what the feeling is trying to impart. The least helpful thing we can do is try to change the emotion without honoring it. We must meet ourselves, wherever we are, with patience and love. Acknowledge. Accept. Observe. This is how we learn. This is how we grow.
Stumbling Through Life
It’s okay to be exactly where you are. It’s okay if you’re in bliss. It’s okay if you’re in heartbreak. Ideally, we’d be in a state of complete love and non-attachment all the time, but we didn’t come here to be mastered souls, we came here to be perfectly flawed. And a huge part of life is stumbling, often. This is where the lessons are, the growth. And just because we stumble, doesn’t mean we aren’t perfect. Stumbling is part of what makes us perfect. It’s what makes us human.
How We Blossom
We came here to live out the deliciousness of the human experience, and that experience isn’t always hummingbirds and roses. Sometimes those roses have thorns, and sometimes those thorns teach us a whole damn lot about ourselves. And sometimes those thorns have the most colorful and vibrant flowers at the end of their stems.
So to meet our minds, bodies, and hearts at the level of our pain is to give ourselves the greatest opportunity to move through it – to blossom, to flourish, to flower.
Flow with Non-Attachment
It’s okay to be exactly where you are. It’s okay if you’re in ecstasy. It’s okay if you’re hurting. Meet yourself there. Wherever that may be. Say hi to yourself. Say hi to the sensations you are feeling. Greet them, not with judgment, but with curiosity. Dance with them. If it’s ecstasy, live in it with gratitude and as much non-attachment as possible. Ask it kindly what it is revealing to you. If it is pain, live in it with gratitude and as much non-attachment as possible. Ask kindly what it is revealing to you.
You are an Ocean of Awareness
This practice is a gateway into the stillness behind the emotion, the ocean of awareness, connectivity and peace behind the human experience. Once you’re there, breathe it in. This is the infinite experiencing the finite. This is the Infinite that finds gratitude in all of the human experience in its totality – pain and pleasure, and everything in between. These are the glimpses of our soul’s resonance. And the human journey and all the lessons we reap can be carried home to that resonance in a way that strengthens and brightens its light as it echoes in eternity.
