Rejuvenate Your Body Through Yoga Practice
Yoga is a system of holistic practices that were designed in India about five thousand years ago. Ancient yogis had come up with a way to reach a higher state of being within the human, which was beyond the realm of personality, behavior, and psyche. The purpose was to elevate the human soul by following a path of Yoga.
The sages dug deep into the human mind to balance the psychological and physical health. Yoga makes a person spiritual by showing them the unfiltered image of their authentic side. However, to achieve this goal, they have to first give-up their materialistic desires which they have emotionally attached themselves with. Clear the conscious-state to gain the sacred knowledge of yoga. This detachment with materialism would lead their conscience towards a more abstract reality of spiritual existence in a human.
To reach this unseen reality, there is a yogic process that is more like a training of the mind and body. The training of the physical body could be done by performing asana, and the training of the mind is done by doing Dhyana (meditation) and Pranayama sessions. Hence, by training the body and mind with intense yoga activities, one could unite their inner powers and wisdom. This results in forming a rhythm in the body, of unique synchronization that helps people to take the first step towards their true and spiritual self.

For those who are looking forward to having a rejuvenated body with the practice of yoga, here are a few postures that can help them reach their goal:
The Mountain Pose or Tadasana
It is an easy pose. To start with, join your feet as you stand. Now breathe in and try to tuck-in your tummy near the abdomen. The shoulders must be let loose and relaxed when you stand with an erect spine.
Make sure to do this standing asana while breathing in and out freely and comfortably. This position helps in maintaining the overall balance of the body and mind. It is one of the most important poses which works wonders to correct that shoulder slouch.
Rabbit Pose or Sasangasana
Sasangasana is also called the “Rabbit pose”. Start by kneeling on the floor. Then, lift your back using your hips, and place your head down, making the shape of an inverted C. Now, reach for your heels with your hands, and hold this position by making sure that your head is touching the ground. Stay in this position for as long as you can.
This pose is best for stimulating the thyroid and the parathyroid glands. The thyroid gland is located in the neck, and it is responsible for secreting hormones for proper metabolic functions. A body’s metabolism is the key to hormonal regulation throughout the body.
The Bird Dog Pose
This asana helps with strengthening the abdominal muscles and your back. It also helps in oiling up your arms, knee-cap, and the joints. To perform this asana, start by kneeling on the floor with both palms touching the ground. Now, extend your right arm ahead of you, stretching it to the front, and the opposite leg stretching straight backward. Make sure that your body is parallel to the ground.
Breathe in deeply while performing this asana. Hold this pose for long in intervals, and then switch to the other leg and alternate arm. At this point, your entire body weight should be on one knee and one palm.
Corpse Pose or Savasana
The best part about practicing yoga is that it focuses inwards, helps you relax and rejuvenate with the practices of restoration. All you need to do is lay flat on the ground, and rest your back. Keep your palms beside you when you and stay consciously alert. Do-not-sleep! Did you know that it is one of the most loved poses in yoga? For the obvious reasons!
Savasana requires you to let go and let the vibrations transfer. This is the best pose that helps in grounding one’s body and allowing natural energy to flow.
