Pitta Dosha Cooling Coconut Limeade…

Pitta Dosha Cooling Coconut Limeade

Delightfully delicious and magically medicinal Coconut Limeade to cools off Pitta dosha and satisfy your tastebuds.

Fresh coconut limeade is doubly cooling. Harry Nilsson’s song, Put the Lime in the Coconut, says it just right–“You put the lime in the coconut, you drink them both together, put the lime in the coconut, then you’ll feel better. Put the lime in the coconut, and drink them both up…”

One cannot ask for a tastier way to cool off Pitta. Unlike other citrus which is considered heating and therefore aggravating to Pitta, lime has a prabhava, a magical quality of colling. When we add the lime to the coconut and drink them both up, we are cooling off Pitta dosha. Grab your favorite glass, a comfy lawn chair in the shade and enjoy.

“Food as medicine is a tasty and effective way to cool off Pitta dosha. “-Veena
