When we think positively, do we not feel calm and happy? And when we think negatively about anything, do we feel the same happiness? It’s because thinking positively releases positive vibes; whereas thinking negatively releases negative vibes.
Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, a spiritual teacher, has revealed one of the most scientific principles of Nature, “The rule of circumstances is such that one weak circumstance will pull together many other weak circumstances, while one strong circumstance will pull along many other strong circumstances.” Hence, our positive thinking brings forth positive pieces of evidence that bring about a positive change in our life. And the slightest of negative thought has immense power to even spoil the good results that we’ve persevered for.
Thus, at every step of our life, we get to notice how our perspective or outlook towards anything plays a major role in the quality of life we live. And therefore, it is very important that we always maintain the right perspective while dealing with any situation, in order to live a happy and contented life.

Open-mindedness
A positive outlook makes you open-minded. It broadens your sense of possibilities as you are more willing to come out of the limits of your individual opinion and consider other’s opinions. Negative thinking does not allow us to welcome other’s perspectives.
Problem-solving
Whenever you get stuck or you don’t get the desired results in whatever you are doing, use a positive outlook. You’ll be much more open to finding a solution to correct it. But by harnessing negativity like ‘I can’t do it’, ‘I knew it would fail’, you will not be able to proceed towards a viable solution since your mind will have stopped processing any further information because of the negativity.
Energetic and enthusiastic
“There is tremendous energy in the word ‘yes’ and tremendous weakness in the word ‘no’.”
‘Yes’ is a positive word indicative of your positive mindset. With a positive mindset, one naturally feels more energetic and enthusiastic. For example, before appearing for an interview, if you say, “I can do this”, your speech and your entire body language begin to ooze confidence, which helps you clear your interview with ease and compose.
On the other hand, if you say, “No, I can never do it. I don’t have any knowledge”, the same will be clearly visible in your actions too, and you will be fumbling and struggling with every answer even if you know everything.
Perception change
“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty,” – Winston Churchill.
By changing only your perception from a negative to a positive one, you will notice that the same situation, in which you felt very bad, no longer seems bad to you. In fact, you like the learning experience it gave to you.
Appreciate and sharing happiness
With positive thinking, you are able to freely appreciate others and you find happiness in other’s happiness, but with negative thinking, you feel jealous and envious when you see others succeed
Live the moment
Positive thinking lets you remain in the present and live the moment. This results in peace and calmness in your life as opposed to anger, agitation, fear and worry which are nothing but outbursts of negative thinking.
Acceptance
Being positive doesn’t mean that whatever you think will happen; rather it means accepting whatever happens. Acceptance means having a ‘no problem’ attitude. Unfavorable situations cannot ruin your peace. Where there is acceptance, you are prepared to face any failure, should it happen. Instead of running away or becoming fearful, you will think about how to come out of the given situation.
Improved health
Positive thinking makes you cheerful, keeping all stress and anxiety at bay, thus making your mind, body, and speech healthier. On the other hand, with negative thinking, you feel exhausted as your energy gets drained. You experience a lot of tension and stress, thus impacting your health adversely.
Higher success rate
Positivity makes you take things in the right direction which leads to a successful life.
Flawless vision
One who has a positive vision always sees and appreciates positive traits, without seeing anyone’s fault. Whereas one having a negative eye, sees others faults immediately, even in straightforward things. For instance, when someone is nice to them, it makes them wonder if there’s a selfish motive behind the kindness.
Seeing other’s faults always results in suffering.
Spiritual growth
Positive thinking makes you a better person at heart and with flawless vision, you maintain equanimity in dealing with others, which in turn clears your karmic account and brings you closer towards your Soul. The topmost positive vision is to see Pure Soul in everyone.
