13 Beliefs You MUST Reprogram To Find Inner Happiness

Healing limiting beliefs is so important, but first you must identify them. This list can help.

When we go through our Ascension journey, different wounded aspects of us will resurface to help us see our own shadow. This shows us where we hold limited perceptions, disempowering beliefs or repressed trauma. It can be immensely tiring and scary to face our old wounds. But if you give yourself the permission to go to those dark places and temporarily face your old wounds, one thing is for sure, you’ll give yourself one of the greatest gifts one can ever receive – a reconnection with your most authentic self.

There is no doubt in my mind that facing our old wounds can be not only painful but also extremely exhausting. It takes a lot of energy to reprocess past trauma and painful memories, so it’s important to learn to be kind to ourselves during this process and nurture our mind, body, and soul as much as we can.

I had to remind myself this the hard way last week. I’ve had an awful week full of immense shifts that brought me down to my knees. I didn’t know what hit me.

My personal wounds

There was another healing cycle of facing and healing the old wounds with growing up in a toxic environment run by my narcissistic mother. As a little girl, I wasn’t allowed to play much, to be creative, sensitive or just be. These are all characteristics of the feminine energy. I remember so vividly how many times I felt deeply unsafe, unsupported and neglected. I craved to be nurtured by my mother but when I noticed that the love she gave was followed by abuse, I started to withdraw and stop myself from wanting to be held, loved or feel safe in her presence. I closed myself off from receiving. It was immensely painful but I felt like I didn’t have a choice. I felt trapped in that family with no opportunity to escape.

My mother shamed me hard and punished me for doing anything that I loved or valued. She would laugh at my artwork, rip to pieces anything I’ve made and she would go out of her way to shame me for being sensitive. As a result, I learned to suppress this part of me in order to fit into that toxic family. So reopening this part of me became my greatest mission in this journey, no because I had to but because I wanted to.

Suppressing our trauma

As children, we tend to suppress anything that our parents don’t value because we know that our entire survival depends on their approval. But this also comes with feelings of being betrayed, abandoned, disappointed, unworthy and undeserving that we develop as a result of those experiences. The more such abuse goes on, the more those feelings get affirmed in our vulnerable little minds.

Sadly, this never just stays in the past as these traumatic experiences become the wounded lens through which we see the world. We carry those beliefs and feelings into our adult life and then attract to us people and experiences that match those beliefs and feelings we carry within. This is because our own view of our Identity has been imprinted with false disempowering beliefs of not being safe, worthy, lovable or allowed to have the things we desire.

Unless we rewire them within our subconscious and imprint new feelings in our central nervous system, that wounded perception of who we are will keep recreating our life whether we want it or not. It happens on autopilot and it’s all driven by the subconscious mind that controls 95% of our unconscious programs including the beliefs we hold, thoughts we think and feelings we feel. This energy then powers the actions we take in life. So if we truly want to heal we must heal at the root level of our being.

I thought I’d share some of the core beliefs and wounds I was healing around safety, worth and receiving in the past few days to help you heal from the past and receive what your heart desires:

Feelings to heal

  1. Feeling betrayed, abandoned, unloved, neglected,
  2. Not feeling safe to receive
  3. By far the biggest feeling that hurts us the most in childhood is NOT FEELING SAFE or SUPPORTED
  4. If we don’t heal these feelings and beliefs, they act as an active vibration in our energy field that keeps magnetizing to us the same stuff over and over.

Beliefs to reprogram

  1. It’s safe for me to express my Feminine energy fully.
  2. It’s safe for me to receive love.
  3. It’s safe for me to receive money.
  4. It’s safe for me to be healthy.
  5. It’s safe for me to have healthy boundaries with others.
  6. It’s safe for me to trust my heart.
  7. It’s safe for me to fully express my creative genius.
  8. I deserve all that I desire.
  9. I am worthy.
  10. I deserve to be nurtured and cherished.
  11. I deserve to live in joy and happiness.
  12. It’s okay for me to rest when I get tired.
  13. It’s safe for me to be sensitive.

In order for a woman or a man (those dominant in the feminine energy) to be open to giving and receiving love and support, they need to feel SAFE. Many of us used to demand that safety from the external environment first (our boyfriend, girlfriend, job, parents and so on). And while it is important to have healthy boundaries, knowing our values and worth, there is something even more important for us to embrace in our ascension journey and that is to nurture our INNER SENSE OF SAFETY WITHIN US. This comes from a deep inner knowing of a SACRED DIVINE TRUTH that we are always safe and protected by the soothing arms of the Universe and Ourselves.

I invite you to nurture this inner sense of safety within you from now on as it will help you become your own best friend and build a new IDENTITY that is based on feeling safe in all situations. Put any past pain and trauma behind you not by running away from it but by acknowledging that it indeed made you feel that way and then letting it go.

We cannot truly heal anything unless we have the courage to face our feelings. Yes, fear can still resurface from time to time but when you built up your deposit of inner safety, you’ll have a secret weapon to use when needing to transcend any limiting fears to follow your truth.

How to self-heal this from within

When any trauma resurfaces for me, I am always taken to those childhood memories when the trauma occurred. I get clear about how that situation made me feel, then validate those feelings, reprocess those memories and then reprogram myself for what I want to have in my life instead. This double healing is super powerful because it helps to heal the mental and emotional body all at once. You’ll feel an immense release of heavy energy instantly after the healing is done.

The whole process can take anything from 5 to 30 mins but the way you’ll feel in the end is like entering Heaven’s door – utter bliss washing all over your body and a sense of liberation from what was holding you back in the past. It’s truly worth the discomfort that you may feel when going through it.
