How To Cultivate Self-Love And Attract Prosperity
You must have heard the expression, “You are so much more than you think you are”. The other day the penny really dropped for me on this. Although I have heard it before, I have understood it in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) terms, but never in a Spiritual sense. We are so used to compare ourselves to other people and feel less than. But in actual fact, we are comparing the wrong things, like comparing apples with oranges. They may both be fruit but are totally different. Right?
In the same way, we are apples and oranges in our human-ness. We are human beings but we are different. The difference lies in our lives, our different journeys, in the results we get, the experiences we have, the cards our lives has been dealt with. Deepak Chopra said, that he let go of judgment when he realized that we all are souls trying to find our way. He let go of the human or physical comparison and judgment and realized that we all are the same on a Spiritual level.
Our human DNA may differ, but our Spiritual DNA is of the same perfection. We all come from the same Source. We all are expressions and extensions of Source Energy. We are in fact Spiritual beings having human experiences.

Living life on the edge
And we all choose our human experience. Before we come into this life, we choose our family, the talents we want to express, possibly the challenges we will encounter, etc. We are eager to come to create lives of joy and abundance and living life on the edge as Abraham Hicks says.
But then things go a little pear-shaped. Most often a lot pear-shaped! Because the moment we are born, we don’t remember who we are, what we decided to experience with such confidence, thinking then that it would be fun! That was until we arrived on planet Earth – our physical world. Yes, having a life of abundant joy, health and wealth is our birthright, but that is only possible in all areas when we find our way back to our True Self. When we are able to claim our life back from the prisons that we have created instead.
How do you do that?
By remembering Who You Are and finding your way back to your True Self.
Have compassion for yourself and celebrate the courage you had when you decided to embark on this journey called life. Look at all the things you have experienced and overcome, as part of your Spiritual Journey becoming the person you are today. All your experiences have and are preparing you for what you have come here to do.
Acceptance and forgiveness
Accept yourself for who you are. Accept your mistakes. Accept the past. Accept the cards dealt to you as part of your life to inspire you to find the good in everything.
When you accept what is now, the past has no hold over you anymore. You can let go of guilt towards yourself and resentment towards others. You can unconditionally forgive others for any harm done to you directly or indirectly, on purpose or by mistake. You can unconditionally forgive yourself for harm intended directly or indirectly, on purpose or by mistake, to others.
Most of all, forgive yourself for any harm done to you by you. And when you remember who you are, the past is irrelevant and the only value of it is what you have learned from your experiences that can benefit you and others from here onwards.
Appreciate how far you have come and what you have created. Appreciate your talents and skills and the passions that life has caused you to develop. Focus for a moment on what all the things you can appreciate and be grateful for in your life and know that you have created that. Know that if you have created anything good in your life, that you can create more good things.
It’s all about your focus of appreciation. It’s about noticing the little things that bring a smile to your face and then milk it for the amazing light feeling it creates in your body. At that moment you are aligning with your True Self, with Source Energy. At that moment you raise your energy vibration. As the saying goes, the more you appreciate what you have, the more you will have to appreciate.
Think for a moment about something that takes your breath away because of its sheer beauty. One thing that fills me with awe is streets filled with flowering jacaranda trees forming lanes of purple arches. This always happens in October in Pretoria, where I used to live.
Nature’s beauty, precision, and abundance are always present. Everywhere. Nature is so precise and predictable that we trust it. We know the sun is setting tonight and rising tomorrow. We know when the seasons change, there’s no doubt about it. We are made of the same stuff. You are one with the beauty, precision, and abundance of Source or God or the Universe. It is all the same Infinite Power that is within and around all of us.
When you think of that something that takes your breath away and feel it fills your body with awe, feel that awe about you, because you are one with this Infinite Power that loves you unconditionally. Now feel that love for yourself vibrating throughout your body, knowing that you are perfect. You see, absolutely everything physical and non-physical is Energy. Everything vibrates at different frequencies. We are energy and we interact with the energy around us.
You are more
Where everything in Nature is predictable and the laws of the Universe govern everything to a Nanosecond, we as humans have Free Will to create our lives as we choose. You do that with your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. These are your powers given to you by Source. There are no limitations. You have carte blanche to create whatever you choose.
The only thing is that we are subject to the Universal Laws and specifically the Law of Attraction. You can only create or manifest things in the physical world that match your energy vibration. What would open up for you if you could trust and expect what you desire is coming to you? Instead of doubting and attracting the opposite to you as so many of us do?
The game of life
Everybody has received the same powers. We all have the same overall purpose to live a life of joy and abundance that we create of our own choosing. Often the appearance of other people’s lives looks like they cheated in this game because it appears that they have it far too easy. However, every journey has its own challenges.
Your relationship with yourself, money and Source are all woven together and determine how difficult or easy you make it for yourself to create a life of joy and abundance. The most important thing in this game of life then is to continuously strive to raise your energy vibration to match that of your true self. The place to start is to cultivate self-love by accepting and appreciating your life and remember who you really are.
Change your energy and change your life
How you think and how you feel determine your energy vibration. When you think thoughts that make you feel good, you raise your vibration. Deliberately find the things, people, places, and activities that give you joy and make you feel happy and grateful.
Most importantly, don’t allow anything external to upset your vibration. In other words, don’t sweat the small stuff. And it’s all small stuff!
Meaning and purpose
Knowing that your life is significant to your Spiritual Journey and that we have an inherent need to contribute to others, it is to find and live your purpose or what I like to call your soul purpose to give your life meaning. Holding a clear vision of what you would like to create in sharing your gifts with the world is living at a higher vibration. Now that you are aware that your Spiritual DNA is perfect, there is no more need to compare and feel less than other successful people, but rather feel inspired by the proof that there is a need for your gifts.
You have the birthright to live a life of happiness, health, success and wealth and in striving to do that, you allow others to do the same.
