Have you started practicing yoga recently?
If yes, then you might be confused about the poses and their odd names. Don’t worry, we are here to help you with this.
I suggest you must start with simple poses and going ahead jump on complex ones. This will be good for your body and mind too. This practice will make you go ahead and include yoga in your routine.
Types of poses:
• Balancing poses
• Standing poses
• Sitting poses
• Resting poses
• Backbends
Do you know apart from keeping you physically fit, yoga poses like “sukhasana” can get rid of your stress and anxiety too; keeping you mentally relaxed. Just 20 minutes of practice in the morning can keep you charged the whole day.
Popular Yoga poses:
• Down Dog on a chair
Keep your hands on the back of a chair with palms shoulder-distance apart. Move your feet back to align under hips, spine parallel with the floor.
• Sukhasana:
Sit cross-legged, with hands-on your knees, palms up. Straight spine, push the bones you’re sitting on down into the floor. inhale keeping eyes closed.
• Tree pose (vakrasana) :
Stand straight. Bring your hands together in the prayer position and lift them over your head. Balance on your right leg. Bend your left knee out to the left side and press your left foot to the inner thigh of your right leg. Hold for 30 seconds. Switch legs and repeat.
There are plenty of other yoga poses for beginners as well as experts. you just have to keep practicing to shift from simpler to complex ones.
