How Do I Shed The Karmas That Is Bondage-To The Soul?…

How Do I Shed The Karmas That Is Bondage-To The Soul?

Akram Vignan, a spiritual science provides precise understanding of how karmas are bound and how they are shed:

The Soul is our real Self.

Although the Self is Soul, you claim that, “I am John. (the reader may insert his own name here).” Claiming yourself to be something that you are not, is called the ego. When this ego leaves, you return to your own place i.e. the Self, where there is no bondage.

Owing to ignorance of the Self, one is subject to karma bondage.

One is subject to karma bondage from the very beginning of the journey of the Soul in this Universe. Ignorant of the Self, since countless of lives, life after life, the living being evolves from one-sensed living being to five-sensed living being, and then comes into human life form. In every life, the living being sheds a lot of karma. This is the law of Nature. It naturally happens!!

By the time one meets Gnani, a considerable weight of karma has been shed.

The meeting of the two (Gnani and you) also happens naturally. It happens when all the circumstances come together. In fact, only when our karmas become lighter, we are able to meet Gnani Purush. Therefore, you should have a sincere inner intent to:

1. not hurt any living being through your thoughts, words or actions, and

2. meet Gnani as soon as you can!!

Once meeting the Gnani happens, your work gets accomplished!!!

Let’s see how…

1. You realize ‘Who am I’?

In human life form, while old karmas are shed, the ego binds new karma too. The ego leaves only when you happen to meet Gnani, the Enlightened One.

In Akram Vignan, you are directly graced with the experiential knowledge of the Self. In the 2-hour process of Self-realization, called Gnan Vidhi, the Living Gnani fractures your wrong belief of, ‘I am John’ (the ego) and establishes the right vision of ‘I am Pure Soul’!!!

2. You get the right understanding of : Who is the doer?’

Charging (binding) of karmas occurs with the wrong beliefs of, “I am John, and I did this.” Claiming doership of any action, binds karma. Supporting any action, with the claim, “I am doing it,” is karma.

When you know that you are not the doer and you are aware of who the true doer is, then no matter what you do, the action won’t have any support, and the karma is shed.

3. You learn to deal with attachments and hatreds with equanimity.

With the grace of Gnani, you attain Self-Realization. Therefore, new karmas do not bind; however, the karmas that were created in past life bring fruits to you in this life. When someone praises you, you are pleased, and when one insults you, it upsets you.

The external display of emotion is effect of the past causes, and hence is immaterial. However, your internal reaction of attachment and abhorrence at that time, does not allow the karma to shed. Gnani guides us how to deal with these inner reactions equanimously, so that the karmas are shed. Thus, staying in the company (satsang) of Gnani, you slowly learn to settle each incident in your life by remaining in equanimity.

However, if John (reader may insert his own name here) happens to hurt any living being through his mind, speech or body, get him to instantly perform pratikraman i.e. ask for forgiveness. A hearty pratikraman helps shed karmas that you missed earlier, on account of your aggression. Also, you will gain better awareness to maintain equanimity next time the same incident occurs. More the amount of pratikramans done by John, lighter and freer he will feel. And you, the Soul, will experience more bliss of the Self.

Akram Vignan is a direct shortcut to the bliss of the Self, discovered by Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan. ‘Akram’ means without steps; an elevator path, whereas ‘Kram’ means an orderly, step-by-step spiritual path.

The link of Akram Gnanis now continues with the current spiritual master Pujya Deepakbhai Desai, whom Pujya Dadashri had graced with special powers to continue to teach the world about Akram Vignan. Today, through Pujya Deepak Bhai, thousands of people from all walks of life and from all over the world, are attaining Self-Realization, and gaining awareness of the Pure Soul. One does not have to renounce the world or his belongings to do so. Even while carrying out your worldly duties and obligations, you experience freedom and happiness, here and now.

To conclude:

The reason for us continuing in the cycle of birth and death is bondage of karma. Once we come into the nature of the real Self, no new karma will bind.

This happens when Gnani Purush makes us aware of ‘who am I’ and ‘who the real doer in this world is’!!! After that, as we follow Gnani’s teachings, old karmas get shed. When all karmas are shed, we attain ultimate liberation from the bondage of karma forever, and the liberated Soul goes to Siddhagati, the place where all liberated souls reside forever!!!
