How Do Donations, Kindness, And Social Services Help People Uplift Our Souls?

When asked, “How can one make his life saatvik and simple?”, Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the enlightened being, explained, “It is when you keep on giving whatever you have to others with an obliging nature, your life will gradually become saatvik automatically.”

He further said, “If you do it to a greater degree, then you will benefit more. Continue to oblige people. Get someone’s work done, run errands for others, donate money, have two sets of clothes stitched for a less fortunate person; oblige in this way.”

With whatever asset you have, help others!

“It is okay if you are not able to do much outwardly, however your internal intent should certainly be that of, ‘I have money, so I want to lessen someone else’s pain.’ If you have wisdom, then intend that, ‘Even by using my wisdom to explain things to someone, I want to lessen someone’s pain’”, advises Param Pujya Dadashri.

Obliging nature means nature to help others!

If one has an obliging nature, then his nature would be so beautiful! It is not that only by giving money you can oblige others; that depends on the capacity of the person to donate. Just harbour the intention in the mind to find ways by which you can help others, and if this much remains within, that is all you have to see.

Until the attainment of moksha (liberation), merit karma (punyai) alone functions as one’s friend and demerit karma (paap) functions as one’s enemy. Now decide what you like, whether you want to keep a friend or you want to keep an enemy. You should ask about how the circumstance of a friend can arise and how the circumstance of an enemy can be gotten rid of.

Param Pujya Dadashri suggests,

“If you want a friend in the form of punyai, I would point to a tree and tell him, ‘Dear man, learn from the tree. Does any tree ever enjoy its own fruits? Does a rosebush ever eat its own fruits? Must it not eat a little? When we are not around at night, we must eat a little at that time? It doesn’t eat?’

No! Do you know why?

Param Pujya Dadashri explains,

“These trees and shrubs exist to serve humans by offering them their fruits. Now, what does the tree gain? It evolves into a higher life-form, and humans too progress further with their help! Just consider, when you eat a mango, what does the mango tree lose, and what do you gain? You ate a mango so you felt happy. Due to the change in the inner tendencies, you earn a spiritual benefit worth a hundred rupees. Now since you ate the mango, about five percent of that benefit will go to it; and ninety-five percent will be your share. So they take a portion of your share, they take five percent and they evolve to a higher life-form, and you too will not go to a lower life-form, you also progress. So the tree says, “Enjoy everything of mine, enjoy every kind of fruit and flower.”

This is how the upliftment of every Soul in this world takes place.

How does donations to good work, love, kindness and social services help one uplift their Soul?

In the above given example, by giving away its fruits and flowers to help others gain happiness, the tree gradually moves up from one life-form to another and thus develops from one-sensed to two-sensed, then three-sensed, then four sensed, five-sensed and then comes into human life-form where his mind, intellect, ego gets developed. And ultimately, when as a human, it gets Self-Realization, the worldly development completes there. New karmas stop being charged then. And when discharge of all old karmas finishes, it attains liberation!

Thus, on one’s journey to liberation (moksha), the upliftment of every Soul happens at every stage as it continues to serve others in whatever way it can, and donates one’s own for the benefit of mankind.

What’s the Goal in Life of Enlightened Souls?

Param Pujya Dadashri had one big goal in his life, and that is, ‘Whoever meets me should definitely experience happiness!’ Every enlightened being is such! They never think about their own happiness; rather their constant intention remains that of, ‘What difficulty does the other person have, and how it can be removed?’ This is how these enlightened beings rise to great spiritual heights. Their Soul uplifts to such a level that they attain a high degree of compassion, which in turn, enables them to uplift the Souls of millions of other people in this world! Similarly, in Param Pujya Dadashri too, the spectacular spiritual science of Akram Vignan manifested, that’s helping millions of people uplift their Soul today.

To conclude:

So, as Param Pujya Dadashri has said, let’s have an obliging nature, let’s help others, serve people with love and kindness, and donate whatever and how much ever we can without any selfish motive of any kind; not even that of fame and acknowledge for the good work done.

Param Pujya Dadashri says, “Those who do this, attain liberation; but in order to do so, one has to know his real Self.” It means while all of the above happens, look forward to meeting the Living enlightened being, and from him attain Self-Realization!!
