One Cup of Dandelion Greens contains 10% of a person’s daily needs of calcium. And they also contain a good amount of phosphorus making them great for creating strong bones and teeth. One serving of Dandelion Greens contains over 110% of our daily needs of Vitamin A which is a powerful antioxidant helping to prevent cardiovascular disease, strokes, and cancer. And Vitamin A is important to healthy mucous membranes of the GI tract, mouth, lungs, and other areas of the body and for beautiful skin.
Dandelion Greens and roots contain pectin which helps to lower cholesterol, lower trigs, helps to eliminate radioactive and heavy metals from the body and helps to detox the body in general. Dandelion Greens are full of iron and copper making them great for those who suffer from anemia. Dandelion Greens can also lower cholesterol by as much as 50% according to studies done in Italy. Dandelion Greens are totally fat and cholesterol free.
Dandelion Greens and the Roots contain Inulin which is a great probiotic agent that helps to feed good bacteria in our gut. Thus creating a good environment for growing the 4 pounds of good bacteria we need in our gut to create a healthy immune system. Dandelion Greens and the roots also help increase urine volume thus helping with excess water weight, detoxing, edema, and helps with PMS. Dandelion Greens are just about as powerful as lasix and furosemide which are prescription diuretics.
Dandelion Greens in studies have the ability to kill cancer cells without causing harm to good cells. And that Dandelion Root tea can kill leukemia cells without harming other tissues… thus making Dandelion Tea a possible non-toxic way of healing leukemia.
A famous architect by the name of Robert Stickle who came down with skin cancer noted in his research the following: People who live as farmers in the country in Italy eat lots of Dandelion Greens and drinking Dandelion Root Coffee… and hardly ever come down with cancer. But as soon as they move to the city and stopped eating dandelion greens and drinking the coffee substitute they started coming down with cancer. Then Mr. Stickle started eating Dandelion Greens and drinking the coffee substitute in 1986 and 18 years later he’s still cancer free.
Perhaps Dandelion Greens and the roots do have some protection qualities that keep us from coming down with cancer.
And new studies show that Dandelion can lower and maintain good blood glucose levels. In fact, there was one man who was 70 years old and had terrible diabetes that was out of control. He cut out sweets and carbs but still had high blood sugar. He then changed just one thing, he started drinking Dandelion Root Coffee… and his blood sugar went up and down the first week… then it dropped into the normal range and stayed there. Amazing!
