Gelatin
According to a study by scientists at Functional Molecular Biology Lab, gelatin contains nutrients that are essential for collagen production. Collagen is a protein that has many important functions, including providing the skin with structure and strengthening the bones. Researchers tested the effects of gelatin on the body with the help of participants who consumed gelatin supplements before training. Gelatin increased collagen production, making the connective tissues more durable and elastic. To get gelatin, you can eat jelly or take gelatin supplements. It’s good to combine gelatin with vitamin C since it’s also necessary for collagen production.
Berries
A study by Boston University found that only 10 cherries per day protect a person from gout attacks, a disease of the joints and tissues associated with metabolic disorders. When consuming 10 cherries, the risk of an attack was reduced by 35%.
Cherries also eliminate the symptoms of osteoarthritis (this occurs when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones wears down over time). Researchers at a medical center in Philadelphia found that patients with osteoarthritis who consumed two 8 oz bottles of cherry juice a day for six weeks were feeling much better. Another reason to add berries to your diet is the high content of ellagic acid which has antioxidant properties and reduces inflammation. A large percentage of ellagic acid is found in raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries.
Oily fish
Unsaturated fatty acids of the omega-3 maintain the elasticity of connective tissues and maintain joint health. Studies have shown that fish oil is effective in arthritis treatment. Scientists have concluded that some patients may replace conventional medications with fish oil supplements to relieve joint pain. Many omega-3 fatty acids are found in black and red caviar, fresh mackerel, herring, salmon, sardines, and trout.
Olive oil
