You Can Choose to be Happy!

Life is all about choices, especially when it comes to your mood.

But it takes dedication and shifting old patterns and thoughts. These little actions, when practiced consistently, will not only give you immediate happiness but also go a long way to providing lasting fulfillment.

Stop living in your memories and imagination; see the present.

It’s easy to get locked into a mental “loop” of remembering the past or dreaming of the future. But that’s not what really gives fulfillment…and more importantly it’s not real!

It may be crazy to think of this, but when you dwell on the past or future you’re not even living in reality. It simply doesn’t exist.

Just like a hamster in a wheel spinning round and round, the mind gets tired; give it a break and stay in the moment…you’ll notice that things get a whole lot simpler and easier to manage.

Make a difference in someone’s day.

Have you ever noticed how good you feel when people go out their way to think of you? And have you ever noticed that the people who constantly think of others command a lot of respect and are usually popular?

That’s because people associate them with happy thoughts.

Shifting your perspective and giving more to others will go a long way towards improving the quality of your life. Doing something small for another person will give you an instant jolt of happiness.

Take a mini meditation.

If you’re at work and things are getting crazy, there is an easy out: meditation.

Meditation is the ultimate exit strategy for hard times. Everyone has an exit strategy in some form or another, but this is probably the healthiest and most fulfilling.

Even if it’s just for a few minutes, close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and calm your mind.

Refreshing yourself like this can have a radical impact on the way you feel and over the long run make you a very happy person.
