Summary

The Big Quiet returns to D.C. for a mass meditation experience at NMWA. Designed for people with any level of meditation experience, The Big Quiet will take you through a series of breathing exercises, crowd-powered vocal toning, a mass sound meditation, special guest musical performances and break-out conversations to get to know the D.C. community. Come early to browse NMWA’s galleries and exhibitions, then breathe deeply and slow down for this special event in the museum’s iconic Great Hall.

All attendees will be gifted an exclusive take-home Tuft & Needle meditation cushion, kombucha from GT’s Kombucha, and antioxidant water from smartwater.

A portion of each ticket sale will support two of The Big Quiet’s giveback partners: Kula for Karma in bringing therapeutic meditation to people suffering from trauma, addiction, and adverse life circumstances; and Chooose in fighting climate change by reducing the carbon footprint of the event.

What makes this event special...

The Big Quiet gathers people to share meditation and musical performance to deepen connection to yourself and to those around you! It’s a celebration of human connection at an iconic cultural institution.
