About the host

SAVITRI TALAHATU

As a yoga and meditation teacher Savitri has completed more than 2,500 yoga teacher training and continuing education hours in pre-post natal yoga, restorative and yin yoga, addiction recovery and cancer prevention, and traditional yoga studies; history, philosophy, and literature.

Born and raised in Bali where yoga is a devotional lifestyle, Savitri is a Bhakti Yoga practitioner under the divine guidance of her beloved Gurudeva, His Holiness Srila Bhaktidvedanta Narayan Goswami Maharaja.

His request was to (re)awaken the love of God in all hearts.

Savitri weaves the physical aspect of yoga and yoga philosophy with daily spiritual practice, making this ancient wisdom applicable for today’s lifestyle.

Her classes are uplifting, holistic and poetic, suitable for beginners and seasoned practitioners who are ready to deepen their practice with self-enquiry.

Other than being a teacher, she is also a certified lifestyle coach, holistic health practitioner, doula and childbirth educator, and a Reiki master.

She is passionate about empowering others to make healthy lifestyle choices and inspiring them to find their own gateways to wholeness.

Over the years she has been facilitating workshops and Yoga Alliance 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training programs (Hatha-vinyasa and Kundalini), as well as leading retreats in Canada and internationally.
