The yoga experience…

Working with the 5 elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether we will explore the connection between the elements and our subtle energetic bodies. Gaining a deeper undestanding of how our energetic centres work and creating a Holistic self practice that can heal, restore and balance our energy.

Most days are set to begin with a morning yoga practice out in nature. What better place to find yourself at sunrise? The picture-perfect settings will give you the feeling as though time is standing still and you will almost certainly be able to hear the landscapes whispering rejuvenation into your soul as the world awakes.

The remainder of the day will be spent on excursions, shamanic sessions, relaxation or optional reiki or spa treatments.

As the days draw to a close, you will find yourself back in nature for an afternoon yoga practice at sunset. An incredible way to end the day and quiet your mind before dinner under the starlit skies…

>The yoga practice is suited to all levels, from beginners to advanced
>Your yoga teacher will adapt the practice to accommodate all guests
>During our retreat, guests will enjoy restorative, vinyasa, hatha and yin yoga, along with breathing techniques and meditation sessions
>Sessions focus on balancing your chakras, releasing tension, whilst being connected to nature
>Experience relaxation, self-awareness and a deeper spiritual connection with yourself and a whole new culture
>There will be 2 yoga sessions planned daily, all classes are options and aim to rejuvenate our guests, whilst also helping to build on your individual practice.

Yoga Teacher – Eva Eichhorn
Eva first started practicing Yoga at the age of 15, out of pure ambition to perfect a discipline and to find healing in her body. She developed a diligent and dedicated practice under the guidance of different teachers that encouraged her to complete a Teacher Training.
She aspires to offer progressive practice techniques and shares her personal aspirations to take up a Yoga practice. Her teaching is technical, challenging, inspiring and warm-hearted. Her ambitions are directed towards creating lightness, strength and balance in body, mind and heart.
Eva has taken great value and understanding from spending time with the Bushmen of Namibia, the oldest tribe in the world, learning of their life in the remote wilderness.
Travelling to North Africa, living and practicing Yoga in the rural areas of Gambian culture revealed to her what it means to take your Yoga off the mat and into your day when life around you evolves around the basic effort of survival, community and compassion.
” I have a heartfelt interest in portraying Africa and it’s vast beauty of natural habitats, culture, its conservation and the open landscapes that can only touch your soul on a core level. My Dad was a naturalist and spent most of his life on the less travelled tracks of Southern Africa and he embedded his knowledge and passion for the natural world in me. In essence, what the practice of Yoga means to me is to feel connected to my own nature and the world around me. Through the medium of Yoga we venture into ourselves only to embrace the world more openly. I can’t imagine a more soulful experience than sharing the practice amongst some of the most pristine habitats on Earth where silence, space and nature speak their wisdom”.
