Bhakti Yoga- A Path Of Eternal Love…

Bhakti Yoga- A Path Of Eternal Love

Yoga is more than just a physical exercise. The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit root Yuj which means to link up with or combine.

Bhakti is extracted from the Sanskrit word bhaj, which means loving service. Bhakti-yoga means to connect to the Supreme by means of loving devotional service.

The process of awakening love within our heart is not just purifying but also fully satisfying and blissful. This purification process is composed of chanting (mantra meditation) dancing & feasting.

The supreme ancient system of yoga pertains to the soul. Many people are interested in gymnastic yoga these days but the real yoga according Bhagavad Gita means to awaken the soul to his proper position. The soul is spirit, and his business is to reconnect his lost relationship with God or the highest intelligence and most potent energy in the entire Universe.

Any activities done in devotional service are directly under the control of the spiritual energy.

Those who are cultivating spiritual life and executing devotional loving service are always engaged in activity. Such activity can be performed with the body or with the mind. Thinking, feeling, and willing are all activities of the mind, and when we will to do something, the activity comes to be manifest by the gross bodily senses.

Every one of us within this world is perpetually engaged in some sort of service, and the impetus for such service is the pleasure we derive from it. Driven by affection for his wife and children, a family man works day and night for example.

Our loving propensity expands just as a vibration of light or air expands, but we do not know where it ends. Pure and awakened love can manifest beautiful things in one’s life, therefore, everything we do, should be done with love. The intention we set will consequently result in direct reciprocation from the highest energies and bring us internal happiness and satisfaction.

Pure devotional service brings immediate relief from all kinds of material distress and anxieties.

The key to blissful and happy life is to awaken pure love within our hearts. When we learn to really love and cultivate pure love, then we will achieve the perfection of life.

To start the process of purifying the heart and awaken the love for God, one should chant the following mantra according to the Vedas :

Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna

Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare

Hare Rama, Hare Rama

Rama Rama, Hare Hare

“Hare” addresses to God’s energy, known as Radha, and “Krishna” is name of God meaning “He who is attractive to everyone.” “Rama” means “one who gives pleasure and enjoys life.”

Chant, dance and be happy!
