Be In Your Truth…

Every Sunday I teach a Chakra Restorative class @omyogawellness and every Sunday the class has a different vibe. The class has an energy all it’s own and it’s what make the experience unique. In the class we move through a series of asanas that awaken each of the energy centers and we start letting go of things that do not serve us throughout the class.

Typically when we are about midway I usually have a feel for what the class is vibing. What the vibration as I move around the room, guiding the asanas and talking about each energy center there is a feel, a mood, a vibe.

Yesterday we were midway through the session and I couldn’t get a read on the class the vibe was still cold. I usually start with an intention, what I feel the class may need, I thought I was teaching a Manipura (Solar Plexus) Chakra class.   I was wrong, when we got to the Vishuddha (Throat) Chakra, the whole vibe changed, there was a collective sigh, the room became warmer and the fog lifted.   There is was what my tribe was looking for … truth… The Vishuddha or throat chakra is the voice of the body. It is a pressure valve that allows the energy from the other chakras to be expressed. If it is out of balance or blocked it can affect the health of the other chakras.

When it is in balance we can express what we think and what we feel. We can communicate our ideas, beliefs, and emotions. When the throat chakra is in balance and open, we can bring our personal truth out into the world.

When the throat chakra is in balance we have a easy flow of energy within the body and spirit. The energy that springs upward from the sacral chakra through the solar plexus can continue its path enabling free expression of the values and needs expressed within the energy…. and so we did, we moved the energy through and out!  Until next Sunday.. Namaste my loves.
