Karen Richards is a writer living in Northern California with her husband and teenagers, two dogs, and seven chickens.
During the year of lockdown, she wrote a memoir about her journey as the mother of a son with mental health challenges and her family’s experience sheltering in place during the pandemic.

When she’s not writing, Karen enjoys family time, tending her flock of hens, long hikes, and daily yoga and meditation.
