The question of this quest
In DASH® Astrology, the New Moon is a time to receive energy for our quest! To access the quantum quest of Virgo, we should open ourselves to the following question:
When am I truly successful?
I will expand upon this in my New Moon Virtual Ritual which you can get tickets to watch the online video.
For those of you working on your own, contemplate this question during the New Moon window and write down any insights that may come so that you can have a greater idea of what to work on in the Moon Work Book.
In life, we need a working memory so that we can be successful with every step. If we don’t remember what we just went through five minutes, or 5 years from now, then what good was it? What did it serve? Mercury, the planet of the intellect, is co-ruling this New Moon in Virgo. Mercury gives us the ability to look at both sides of anything objectively. It can even allow us to argue for each side which can make choices a difficult task!
The Moon is also in alignment with Mars in Virgo and making a trine to a retrograding Uranus in Taurus. On one hand, we will be granted with a surplus of energy to breakdown any ego identities that keep us from having a mindful state of being. We will see the details of ourselves and be able to outgrow our habits and environments of pettiness and critical obsession. The problem here is the trine from Uranus. It will make us feel like everything is okay, and that we don’t really need to remember. It will tell us that remembering things that happened isn’t helpful and that we aren’t held accountable for what we have done.
Wouldn’t that be nice?
Uranus is obsessed with hitting the reset button and giving us a fresh start. But Uranus is currently retrograding through Taurus so he has his hands full! One of the temptations will suggest, “we have so much going on right now, who cares about XYZ.”
The universe does! If it’s showing up, it WANTS to be looked at. If we ignore it, we ignore life.
The rising sign of this New Moon in Virgo is Scorpio. We need to become detectives and really look within at what is missing from our identity. Look beyond the facade. Look beyond the mask. Look into the soul of who you are and really find the strength and mystical powers that lay dormant within you. They have been spent on ego trickery. Every time we act with ego, we surrender our power. Now is the time to reclaim that lost power.
There will be a huge identity healing with this New Moon, for all signs. It may even become painfully clear who we are and what it is that we exude. Obviously, we need to examine ourselves and appreciate what we have to offer. The sixth chakra, ruled by the Moon, is going to be emptied. As we go throughout the lunar cycle we pick up all sorts of energies that get stored in our third eye. Think of the trash can on your Mac. On the New Moon, it’s time to permanently delete. If you start digging through the trash because you mindlessly threw something away, ask yourself why you did that?
The third eye chakra is where we project reality and it’s a chakra that can retain feelings of guilt as well. This takes us back to the question of this New Moon about success.
One example of true success is whenever we remember our lessons. When we remember them, we automatically act upon them. It’s a case of remembering, as incoming into union with yourself. When we forget things, we must repeat the same test over and over again. It could be with the same people, it will probably be with different people, but we cannot escape our karma and we cannot escape the lessons that we need to learn. The opportunity to learn will always come back to us, and it’s our job to learn them as soon as possible so that they don’t come back with a lot of judgment. The underlying problem won’t change until we do.
Then, and only then, when we unite with our memories and lessons, will be successful in all that we do.
The Moon, which represents our vessel, will be empty and ready to receive everything it needs for its 29-day journey around the zodiacal city.
As it transits through each constellation neighborhood, it collects and gathers various gifts and lessons. Yet before it departs for its journey, there is a 48-hour window of preparation where it downloads everything necessary to make its journey a successful one. This is why I offer a guided New Moon meditation when we assure that we can receive everything we can to ensure a successful journey.
