Are Souls Created To Occupy The Bodies Of The Ever Increasing Population?
Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, an enlightened being says,
“No one has created the Soul. If it was created, then it would have an end. The Soul is something that is constantly there; it is an eternal element. It has never had a beginning. No one has made it. If it did have a creator, then even the creator would come to an end, as would his creation.”
Thus, the Souls cannot be created!
Soul is an eternal element. There are six eternal elements in this world and Soul is one of these six elements. Eternal means they are everlasting; they are neither created nor can be destroyed.
There are infinite numbers of Souls.
There are infinite number of Souls which have not come into worldly interaction as yet. So, we must not even bother to count them.
Similarly, there are infinite Souls who have attained liberation from this worldly cycle of birth and death, and have gone to Siddha Kshetra, an abode for the liberated Souls, outside this world!
When one Soul from this world attains liberation, one Soul enters into this world.
The number of Souls in this world has always remained constant.
As many Souls get liberated from the world and go to Siddha Kshetra, that many Souls enter into worldly interaction and begin their journey in this world. Therefore, the number of Souls in this world has always remained the same.
Not a single Soul ever increases or decreases.
Increase in human population does not mean increase in overall number of Souls in the world.
We do witness a constant increase in human population. However, just because there is an increase in the human population, it does not mean new Souls have come into the world. If the number of Souls in human life-form has increased, it implies the number of Souls in other life-forms such as trees, insects, reptiles and animals has decreased.
But in the total number, not a single Soul has increased nor a single soul has decreased, this is how the world is!
If you want to know the real spiritual science, the fact is…
We all are really a Pure Soul. The Soul is the real Self. But the Soul cannot be seen, what we are seeing in the form of bodies are only the phases of Soul. When the eternal elements revolve around each other, phases of the element occur automatically.
Param Pujya Dadashri reiterates, “In this world, there are six eternal elements and these elements are constantly undergoing changes. It is because of these changes that you see all phases. The phases are temporary, whereas the elements are permanent. Therefore the Self (Soul) does not have to come into creation.”
Just like when Sun, Moon and Earth revolve around each other, phases of the Moon is what we can see – the first day of Moon, second day of Moon, third day of Moon, etc. These phases are all temporary but Moon is not temporary; likewise here too, human beings, animals, insects, trees are all phases of the Soul which are temporary, but the Soul is not temporary. It is eternal, which cannot be created nor destroyed.
The Soul cannot be seen, it can only be experienced.
But the reason why we are not able to experience our own Soul at the moment is because thick layers of deluding karma have covered the Soul. These karma have created in us a wrong belief, due to which we think, “I am this phase, I am this physical body.”
Since we do not know our real Self, we consider the phase as: ‘This is my form.’ And owing to wrong belief, charging of further new karma takes place. The karma, like a fog, cover the vision of our Soul.
Param Pujya Dadashri explains, “This Soul has been shrouded by the fog of circumstances; so many circumstances arise! This fog has infinite kinds of layers (coverings of karma) as compared to the atmospheric fog. These coverings are so grave that they do not allow you to realize that ‘I am Soul’. The Soul has not come nor has it ever gone. The Soul (Atma) itself is God (Parmatma)! Yet, these coverings do not allow one to realize one’s Self. Incredible! And this is what Gnani has seen; the One who has got liberated, has seen it.”
Gnani alone can make us realize our real Self i.e. the Soul by giving us the experience of it.
When we attain Self-Realization from Gnani and follow His words, gradually all coverings of karma sitting over the Soul begin to shed away. When Absolute Soul (having no covering of karma over it) remains, we (Soul) too shall move out of this world and attain ultimate liberation from all the miseries and sufferings associated with the bodies that we assume, and finally reside in Siddh Kshetra experiencing the eternal bliss of our Soul.
Wouldn’t that be simply great? So come, let’s attain Self-Realization from the Living Gnani at the earliest.
