5 Most Important Hatha Yoga Poses

Yoga has several forms and different ways to practice, among them is hatha yoga, an ancient traditional way of practicing yoga. Combined with modern knowledge and poses that are based on scientifically proven studies to show that they have positive impacts on your body and brain. There are many poses in the hatha yoga, but a few poses that are the most important and everyone who practices the hatha yoga must know about are these. Downward Facing Dog Pose (Adho Mukha Svanasana):

This is the most important among all the hatha yoga poses. In this pose, you bend your body in a way that you are facing the growing while your legs are straight, and your hands are touching the ground as well. Your body is in the “V” shape, but this “V” is upside down. And your hands are stretched pm the ground. This is an important pose in hatha yoga.

Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana):

This is the 2nd most important pose in hatha yoga. You lie on the ground facing the earth and your legs are straight on the ground then you slowly pull the upper part of your body in a way that it resembles like a cobra. Your upper part is like the head of the cobra and your legs are the straight tail of the cobra. This is a very healthy pose and it has a lot of impact on improving your back muscles and your vertebrae.

Warrior II Pose (Virabhadrasana II):

It is the third most important pose of hatha yoga. To do this pose you need first stretch your legs and make a stand as a warrior does. Then make your hands spread in the opposite directions. Keep in the view that your legs and arms are in the same direction. This pose is very important for the people who are looking for strengthening their muscles and want to gain balance in their bodies and want to practice easy poses.

Extended Side Angle Pose (Utthita Parsvakonasana):

This is the fourth pose of the hatha yoga among the most important poses. It is very easy to practice. All you need to do is stretch your 1 leg to backward and another leg to outward only a half. Now lean on your knee with the help of your arm. Now use your other arm to make an arc over your body. This is very important for people who want to improve their muscle strength.

Half Lord of the Fishes (Ardha Matsyendrāsana):

This is the fifth pose among the most important ones in hatha yoga. It is done while you are sitting on the ground. One knee up and cross it over the leg. Now one arm over the knee and face towards the other side. This pose is also easy to learn and practice and is among the most important ones.
