2023: Become Victorious
Key point: don’t complain. The world is on the verge of some confrontational energy, and if we want to prove victorious over any warring threats, all we need to do is be grateful and refrain from complaining. Complaining contributes to war, so choose to face life with gratitude and self-responsibility. Aside from that, you may find you aspire to prove yourself by setting and reaching your goals. There could be more travel, moving and learning how to take care of yourself and others this year.
A gigantic paradigm shift we will have this year comes from Pluto, the planet of transformation and rebirth, which will move into Aquarius after being in Capricorn for about 15 years. More on that below.
Twenty-Twenty-Three is another step on a decade-long journey of intense transits written about in the decade forecast back in 2019. In short, the New Year asks us to make moves and become victorious and see ourselves as great in all that we do. The astrology for 2023 will pull us forward in practical and at times earth shaking ways. It’s the year to set and achieve your goals and perhaps even prove yourself and what you have learned. Let’s see how we will get there.
When interpreting charts for groups and the collective, a highlight is placed on what’s known as the generational planets. Also known as the outer planets, they are believed to be responsible for influencing the collective, setting trends and making huge shifts on the inner planets as well as earth. Let’s have a closer look at what they are up to, namely, Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and we will throw in Jupiter, this year.
LET’S BEGIN WITH THE TINIEST BUT MIGHTIEST PLANET: PLUTO.
This year, Pluto will move into Aquarius and begin a process of entirely transforming the age of information unlike anything we’ve ever streamed before.
Due to Pluto’s slow moving nature, it deserves its own forecast, but what we can expect throughout 2023 is a call to recognize no-win situations when we see them as well as the ability to concede when needed.
Because this is the year of victory, Pluto moving into Aquarius is warning us of pyrrhic victories. How far are we willing to go to win? We need to be mindful of meaningless last words, and perceived victories that cost more than they are worth. Either through personal upset or arguments, or acting with only a piece of the puzzle, we are warned to not pursue no-win situations at all costs.
At the same time Pluto, and 2023, will challenge us to transform meaningless victories into true victories and compel us to act in this way this year. We will need to employ the investigative power of Pluto to know when to push and when to withdraw.
Only then will you hear the call of guidance and resurrect into a new sense of life. This can lead you to a new purpose and allow you to choose a higher path beyond your ego. It’s time to look deeply into what your ego wants within society, and what it wants for society.
BUT WHAT IS A TRUE VICTORY? LET’S LOOK AT NEPTUNE.
Neptune has the power to give us an entirely new perspective on things. Sometimes all we need is a shift in perspective to become truly victorious.
At the beginning of the year, Neptune will be found at 22 degrees Pisces.
Twenty-two is a number that describes the story of creation and our lives. The rules of the game of life are depicted by twenty-two archetypes, which can be used to improve our world. Two-thousand-twenty-three is a period for acquiring the synthesis of everything you have experienced as it will serve as preparation for what’s to come. If everything is balanced, we can move forward – otherwise we stay stuck. This is a year for taking care of our physicality and balancing it with spirituality and the mental realm, over the twelve months of the year.
Neptune in Pisces will help us all to embrace victory by surrendering the ego’s competitive nature which strives to distract us from achieving our goals.
Neptune, the planet of surrender, allows us to give up the ego so we can gain real, true success. This year allows us to access the archetype of triumph, victory and mastery! But, we need to become careful as this type of assertiveness can easily become aggression when imbalanced. Neptune will help us dissolve ego agendas so that we can drive our ego toward our destination and cross that finish line, overcome the obstacles, and stay on the course!
NEPTUNE’S PARTNER IN CRIME, URANUS, WILL REMIND US THAT THE ONLY STABILITY IN LIFE IS CHANGE.
It must be mentioned that Uranus in Taurus, close to the North Node (our point of destiny) will be exaggerated this year. Jupiter, the planet of expansion, will supercharge Uranus’ transit through Taurus. The earth has yet to calm down, so we need to do our part to keep these energies from shaking us up, literally.
We have half a year to calm down the warring and pyrrhic victories – the price we pay may be too high, and we will see it in Taurus’ checks and balances. We need to relax and figure out what’s important and what’s trivial. We can choose to suspend the energy of loss and choose abundance and gain.
THE LUNAR NODES ARE SHIFTING INTO ARIES AND LIBRA ON JULY 17.
When the Nodes shift into the Aries/Libra axis, the entire collective will be challenged with intense fate.
It may be difficult to find solutions because making decisions will pose such a difficult task. We will be asked to take sides and possibly confront others. We can do it peacefully and maturely or run the risk of becoming codependent and bringing things together which should actually remain apart. We will all be challenged with what people think about us. Be careful to not place too much dependency on what others think as this will disrupt your ability to achieve your goals.
This will become a process of figuring out who you are as well as what you need. We all need to become a bit more independent and strengthen self-confidence in order to become responsible and in control of your destiny. As you do this, you will gain confidence and share more peace with others.

- Solar Eclipse on October 14 in Libra
- Partial Lunar Eclipse on October 28 in Taurus
SATURN IN PISCES: STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN.
The planet Saturn will enter Pisces on March 7. It’s almost like Saturn will reassemble us in our sleep this year.
Because Saturn will join Neptune in Pisces, it could be that dreams will come true and the hard work you’ve put in will manifest.
Saturn shows how a person integrates all experiences into himself, and Pisces helps us to bring everything together and onto the spiritual path. This will be an exciting time for harmony and integration. It also marks the absolute dissolution of the ego – and it’s a difficult place to be in as we put up a lot of resistance, and those who have a lot of Pisces energy in their chart can often fight it or go with it.
If you want to achieve your dreams, you’ll need to take Saturn’s advice and develop a strong backbone. It could mean you need to develop a stronger ego and stand up for what you believe in.
Sobriety may be a big theme this year.
JUPITER HITS THE BREAKS IN TAURUS.
We also need to keep an eye on Jupiter, the great expander of good or evil.
This year, Jupiter will move into grounding Taurus to join Uranus and the North Node. Jupiter wants us to fill our place so that we can expand beyond our present situation. While transiting through Taurus, we want to be seen and are willing to grow to achieve a place of recognition. This is great for achieving our goals, but we need to remember that we must come from a spiritual, or a cosmic, angle. Otherwise we run the risk of becoming tyrant-like.
With spirituality, we work with what we have and not focus on what we lack. If we cannot make the most of where we are, we cannot go beyond. This can cause disturbance to the ego which does not like change and does not want to expand. Taurus inherently isn’t fond of change, and wants to be seen for what it is and what it has grounded itself to be. It will even take a hard stance and bully others into seeing it! Jupiter in Taurus teaches us that we have to bring the spiritual into the physical.
Otherwise we will experience more of the same stagnation, ignorance and even greed. But if we can manage it, there will be a lot of money flowing-in. This is a good transit for prosperity and abundance wherever it’s transiting and aspecting within your chart.
When the New Year hits, both Mars and Mercury will be found retrograde. Whenever planets go retrograde, their influences are no longer being presented around us, instead, they are arising from within us.
So as Mars is retrograde in Leo the arising energies will be colored with self-expression, self-repression, cowardice and pride within your chart.
Mercury retrograde in Taurus will give us a bit of a preview of what’s to come. It’s important to keep your connection strong with the Universe and with others. Don’t hide away.
MERCURY RETROGRADES.
Mercury retrograde affects our focus and communication. Keep it together as much as possible, stay focused, and double-check travel plans, contracts, and negotiations. Avoid beginning or signing anything big if possible.
The cure to any Mercury Retrograde period is an introspection of the themes of space Mercury is transiting. If we can introspect on all themes regarding communication and superficial exchanges, we will seriously level up.

- April 21 to May 14, 2023, Mercury retrograde in Taurus
- August 23 to September 15, 2023, Mercury retrograde in Virgo
- December 13, 2023, to January 1, 2024, Mercury retrograde in Capricorn and Sagittarius
Winds of change are now blowing from within! The normal energy of communication and movement is going in reverse on the outside as we are going within. Healing our cells as we communicate with each other.
It will be a time to open the mind and go against the intellectual winds blocking us from spirituality.
