2021

2021 will be the worst year of your life….if you don’t change your belief system. I undoubtedly write about the upcoming year, every year. Why? Because the promise of a new year does not mean the new year will be good. You can’t bring old {destructive} habits into the new year, and expect new results.

A new year is like a new relationship. You ever meet that person who has had many partners and complains about all the bad things that happened to them? You probably have. But the reason why they keep jumping from relationship to relationship, is because they are not looking at themselves. Imagine if they took a hard look and made some corrections.

People get comfortable in being uncomfortable. We all make mistakes. We all walk blindly into hard times. But do you know what the difference is between a victim and a victor? Responsibility. The victor own his or her part in the tough times. They make those corrections, up their IQ or get a new skill-set. In other words, they don’t stay stuck.

I am reminded of the old saying {forgive me I do not know the point of origin.} It says “People don’t drown because they fall into the water. They drown because they stay there. Get it! If you walk into 2021 still feeling dejected, victimized and stuck, 2021 has nothing new to offer you. That hope you have will be short lived.

I know that some, probably many, have some very real situations to deal with. Trust me I get it. After losing my daughter, my life took turns that I had not expected. But here’s the thing. If you’re still reading this…there is hope. And that hope is you. God gave you an intelligence. Use it. Just as the person who goes from one bad relationship to another, until they believe that they deserve better, they’ll stay stuck.

2021 will be a difficult start for many. Dig deep, pray, meditate, find a new social circle, job, partner or learn a new skill. It may very well get worse before it gets better. But if you stay in the fight, it will get better. You know how they say summer bodies are earned in the winter. The new year is earned in the mind.

So get busy creating. Make 2021 the year where you make your comeback.
