“Through the years I have learned that anything is possible… Never be afraid to shine, dream and follow your dreams because when each one of us embraces our greatest loves and gifts we automatically inspire others to do the same.”
My personal goal is to be the best version of myself I can possibly be, be a role model for my son and to be fully present to embrace the special moments with my family and friends.
My professional goal is to inspire and connect with other like minded people, empower and support others while making a positive difference is people’s lives through yoga and other holistic approaches.
Why You Became An Instructor:
My mom at an early age introduced my little brother and I to meditation and many different holistic approaches. She planted the seeds that one day will sprout… I actually was in Law School in Venezuela and when I came to the US. I ended up meeting my husband and making this beautiful country my new home.
I never thought I would be teaching yoga, but after a very close family member had a health condition I started to practice yoga to relieve the stress I was under. Before I knew it, I was in teacher training with the intention to learn more for my personal growth.
I never intended to teach but the Universe or the Divine had other plans and the rest is history.
Where You Teach:
I am blessed to have the opportunity to share what I love with people around the world. I teach few local classes in the Dallas area and I travel both in the US and abroad leading teacher trainings, workshops and retreats.
What You Teach:
My main style is Vinyasa and Prana Flow, a vinyasa style created by my dear teacher Shiva Rea. I also teach Pilates and essential oil classes. My classes range from beginner friendly classes to intermediate to advance. In all classes I like to teach more than asanas by giving my students inspirational quotes, food for thought and much more.
Who/What Inspires You:
My family has and continues to inspire me in so many ways every day. I have been blessed to have had many great teachers from many different lineages in my life. I would say that besides my parents and grandmother my most influential and inspiring teacher is Shiva Rea.
I really want to connect and make a positive difference in people’s lives, especially with women. I am passionate about helping women feel empowered, find their voice, reconnect with their own strengths and celebrate their gifts, talents and beauty through yoga and other mind and body practices.
I can relate to feeling dis-empowered, no wanting to be seen or not being able to say what needs to be said based on the fear of being judge… I know there are a multitude of women that like me have felt and/or feel the same way I once did.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
