Discovering Gem Stones
Coming from a religious household, I was more or less familiar with gemstones, but deep down I was skeptical, had reservations about if they worked, and not believing they did because someone said so. I essentially saw these stones as decoration. In 2013, I decided to find my own spiritual path and what I actually believed in. The desire came at a low point in my life. And using the internet as a tool to learn, I discovered that I wanted to try using gemstones again on my own terms.
I was drawn to two gemstones: Rose quartz and moonstone.
Why I Needed Rose Quartz and Moonstone
When a person is drawn to something, it usually means there is a specific message the person needs to hear. In my case, being drawn to rose quartz and moonstone meant I needed emotional balance and more self-love. When I received the stones in the mail, I excitedly held them in my hands to get a feel for their respective energies and both were gentle. From that point on I kept them under my pillow.
Establishing a Relationship With The Stones
It might sound weird to some, but it’s really important to treat your gemstones with respect. They have the purpose of healing after all. I made sure to use my stones every day and placed them on a special space on my desk. Eventually, it became a habit to use them without a second thought.
Losing The Gemstones After Their Purpose is Fulfilled?
I think the answer to this question lies in what you believe in. For me, I grew up believing that when an object is suddenly lost, it means that it’s no longer needed in your life, and it’s time to move on. This happened to both my gem stones and jewelry.
At the same time, I see this loss as an opportunity to wear my gemstones as a piece of jewelry.
What Did Gem Stones Teach Me?
It taught me to not be afraid of discovering my beliefs. It also showed me what areas of my life were lacking and needed extra care.
