5 Ways To Bring Out Your Own Happiness

Happiness comes from Within

“Today you are you, that is truer than true.  There is no one more alive who is youer than you.” -Dr Seuss

I like to remind myself in times when happiness is harder to find with quotes that are more light-hearted and remind myself of my inner child.  Life has an easy way of getting complicated really fast.

It doesn’t take much for a focus to stray away from our happiness, but at the same time, it doesn’t take much to direct our emotions back to happiness.

We get caught up in seeking out or finding our happiness in other people or other things.  But what happens when this person or these things are no longer around or of importance?

If you weren’t able to survive and bounce back from the loss then you wouldn’t hold your own happiness. It is this inner happiness that needs to guide you more than how someone else is feeling or how someone else thinks about you or whatever material thing you are after.

We all have inner happiness; the hard part is fueling your day and your own happiness by it and not by other outside influences.

The bottom line is that you can find happiness in other things, but truly think about how you would feel if those things were gone. Are you happy? Have you stayed true to yourself?  Sure your bills are paid but are happy? What makes you, you? Your inner happiness makes you. Remember there is no one else more “youer than you.”

With these five tips, you will have a better grasp on keeping the inner you happy and shining out to the world!

Pick Your Battles

It is not humanly possible to make everything perfect.

Something I remind myself daily and that I think is great to remind others is if you can’t control it don’t worry about it.

Easier said than done, I know, but try reminding yourself that if there isn’t anything you can do about it, then just let it take its course.

If it is meant to be it is meant to be, if not, there is something else out there for you.

Find an Outlet

What makes you happy? Do you enjoy nature? Are you creative or like making your own art? Do you enjoy watching movies? It is the little things in life that can create so much inner happiness.

Whatever that is for you, make sure you work it into your life as much as possible.

Keeping it in your life often will keep stress at bay and fill your life with more happiness. At the very least, make sure you have an outlet to turn to when things feel a bit overbearing.

Walk Away

Sometimes in the heat of the moment all you need to do is walk away.

We can get clouded in the emotions and energy surrounding a situation and that causes us to not think very clearly.

Live without Regrets

If it is important to you then do not give up. You will regret it. I like to live life with no regrets.

It is a bummer to look back and say you wish you did something. Stick to what you believe in, if you believe it then it is important to you.

Be True to Yourself

At the end of the day, when we strip away the layers that build up our lives, what do we have left? Does what remains leave you happy and content?

If it doesn’t, then make sure you pay attention to yourself and ask yourself if the situation is something you truly care about, or are you just trying to appease someone or something else?

Because at the end of the day, we truly are left with ourselves and answering to ourselves is what can keep us strong or weak.

Keep yourself strong and pay attention to you being you.
